Mike Daniel is an independent grinding circuit consultant based in Australia. Consulting services are provided via two business entities:
Mike is also principal consultant for the Chinese mill manufacturer CITIC-SMCC Pty Ltd. He has extensive experience in the design and application of High Pressure Grinding Rolls (HPGR) technology and conventional SAG grinding.
Economic trade-off studies often cover the scope of work at the concept phase. Technology selection, scale of operation and analysis of ore properties encompass the majority of studies undertaken.
Eco-Comminution®
Inspired by Howard T. Odum's work on ecological energetics, Eco-Comminution® assesses modern comminution circuits in terms of total energy within the flowsheet. Circuit designs using HPGR technology are far more eco-friendly.
Today life cycle assessments describe the "emergy" concept in terms of dollar cost, energy cost and CO₂ equivalent. Dr. Mike Daniel is uniquely positioned to assess these circuits using the Eco-Comminution® methodology.
